Obituary of Stanley L. Potocki
Stanley L. Potocki, age 74, of Rome, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2013, with his loving family at his side.
He was born August 13, 1938, in Lowville, a son of John and Mary Gorzalkowski Potocki, and educated in Rome schools. Stanley was united in marriage to the former Patricia O'Dell, on October 15, 1960. He was employed at Revere Copper Products, retiring after many years of service. He was a member of Transfiguration Church and Stanwix Veterans and Men's Club
Stanley life revolved around his family and he had a special love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also and took great pride in his gardens, and enjoyed the many friends he made over his morning coffee at the Country Kitchen.
Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, a daughter, Kim Murphy and Al Armstrong of Taberg; four sons and daughters in law, Steven and Margaret Potocki of Clark Mills, Brian and Cheryl Potocki of Westmoreland, William and Deb Potocki of Orlando, FL, and Keith and Valerie Potocki of Churchville; two sisters and a brother in law, Delores DeFrees and Priscilla and Lysle Parker; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, with Rev. Paul Angelicchio, officiating.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Saturday from 12-2 PM, prior to the memorial service.
The family wishes to sincerely thank Stanley's sister in law, Debra Stockbridge for her loving care and compassion extended to Stanley during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westmoreland Volunteer Fire Department or the Oneida County Ambulance Corps.
