Obituary of Linda Lee Lamondie

Linda Lee La Mondie, age 68, of Painted Post, NY and formerly of Rome, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 22, 2021 at home. She was born on December 26, 1952 in Rome, the daughter of the late Orville and Doris (Lincourt) Hilterbrandt. She married David R. La Mondie, Sr. at St. Mary's Church in Rome on July 11, 1970; a blessed union of five years until his passing in 1975.

Linda was a strong, kind, loving, and beautiful woman. She had a unique voice that would carry with you where ever you would go. To know her was to love her. She dedicated her love and happiness to everyone around her. Linda loved to have beautiful things and the more they sparkled, the more she smiled.

Linda will be remembered for her strength, courage, determination, elegance, and most of all, for her two children, David R. (Laurie) La Mondie II of Deland Florida, and Lori (Daniel) La Mondie-Murphy of Rome, and the rest of her family including her grandchildren, Samantha La Mondie, Brittany Riggleman, David La Mondie III, and Mikayla La Mondie; four great grandchildren, Lorenzo La Mondie, London Karnuth, Zharryonna La Mondie, and Jessala Adle; and brothers, John Kiley and Dennis Kiley. Linda was predeceased by her grandson, Joshua Adle on February 5, 2019; and her brother, Gary Hilterbrandt in 1999.

Linda's funeral will take place at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut St, Rome, NY 13440 on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at 1 PM. A private family only burial will follow at Floyd Cemetery.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 11 AM to 1 PM prior to the funeral service. Those attending are required to have a facial covering, adhere to the social distancing guidelines, and only a limited number of people will be allowed in at a time.
