Obituary of Nancy J. Carrieri

Nancy J. Carrieri Rome, New York Nancy J. Carrieri, age 77, passed away peacefully at home on November 21, 2013. She was born on July 10, 1936 in Oriskany to the late Edwin J. and Helen Patterson Kraeger. She graduated from Oriskany Central School. Nancy worked at the Marcy Psychiatric Center for many years. On August 11, 1962, she married Angelo D. Carrieri at St. Paul's Church in Whitesboro; he passed away on January 30, 2013. Nancy loved to golf. She was a long time girl scout and enjoyed camping. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi. She was very fond of her many nieces and nephews and she enjoyed her Sunday coffee hours with her family. Nancy was a member of St. Paul's Church in Rome. Nancy is survived by a sister and brother in law, Barbara and Robert Burnop of Whitesboro; four brothers and sister in laws David and Eileen Kraeger of Whitesboro, Paul Kraeger, Gary and Kay Kraeger of Oriskany, Robert and Kathy Kraeger of Whitesboro; Pauline Kraeger of Clark Mills, Geraldine and Jack Horvath of Missouri, and , Carmella Conti of North Ridge, CA, Josephine and Robert Polce of Rome, two brothers in law, Ronald and Vicki Carrieri of Hartsville, SC, and Michael Carrieri of HI; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, John and William Kraeger. The family would like to thank Ed Palinski and Tom Baker for their friendship extended to Nancy during the last few months. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 25 at 9:45 AM from the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul's Church in Rome, at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in Oriskany Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, November 24 from 2 to 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a charity of one's choice.
