Obituary of Kathleen M. Hall
Please share a memory of Kathleen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kathleen Mary Hall, age 67, of Annsville, passed away peacefully at home on November 11, 2014, after a long battle with ovarian cancer, surrounded by her loving family.
Kathleen was born on August 30, 1947 in Rome to the late Andrew and Shirley Froelich Augustine. She graduated from Camden High School in 1965. On November 4, 1967, she was united in marriage to her devoted husband Donald Hall, who loved and cared for her all of their lives together. Kathleen retired from the Rite Aid Distribution Center in Rome and afterwards, worked at Nice N Easy in Taberg, where she was a favorite of the customers.
Kathleen was truly an unbelievably incredible mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She had a smile that would light up a room and a heart that radiated endless love and thoughtfulness. Anyone who met her instantly became family and was welcomed into her home. Because she was such an inspiring person, everyone who spent time with her took a part of her great strength, kindness, and selflessness with them to show to others. Although her life was cut short, she lived a very fulfilled life with a large loving family, many close friends, and so many wonderful memories. She loved to travel to Disney World, Virginia, and Hilton Head with her loved ones and also take trips with her "army family". She was an avid pitch player and enjoyed watching Derek Jeter play. She spent many hours making kitchen towels to pass out at holidays to family and friends. She loved taking care of her flowers and watching her many birds. Kathleen was a member of the Point Rock Methodist Church, the Point Rock Fish and Game Club, and the Lee Legion Auxiliary.
Kathleen is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 47 years, Don; two daughters and a son in law, Lori and Michael Rossi of Oriskany, and Beth Morin of Disputanta, VA; two sons and daughters in law, Richard and Joanne Hall of Callao, VA and Barry and Lisa Hall of Oriskany; grandchildren, Josh, Austin, Julia, and Jennifer Hall, Angela and Anthony Rossi, Mia and Chad Morin, and Ellen and Ken Yin; and two great granddaughters, Katherine Yin and Olivia Augustine; four brothers, Daniel and Barbara Augustine of Virginia Beach, VA, Jeffrey and Laurie Augustin of FL, Andrew and Allen Augustine of Wanakeena, NY, and Marty Augustine of Virginia Beach, VA; and a special nephew, Tim (Melinda) Augustine. She was predeceased by two sisters, Melody Augustine and Andrea Platt; and two brothers, Michael and John Augustine.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 22 at 1 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Taberg in the spring.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 10 AM to 1 PM, prior to the service.
The family would like to thank their special Army family, Clarmon and Donna Booth, John and Rose Stallings, Ralph and Char Campbell and Cheri and Larry Dawson, for their continued support, as well as all of Kathleen's many special friends who sat with her during her illness.
