Obituary of Cynthia June Ruane

Cynthia June Ruane, born on January 29, 1957, in Rome, daughter of Ronald and Barbara Schraml Ruane, was called by the angels on Wednesday March 4, 2009. Cynthia is survived by her parents, Ron and Barbara; three sisters and brothers in laws, Debra and James Brown, Lynda and David Jones and Jan and Douglas Singleton; three nephews, Peter and Rebecca, Thomas and fiancé, Denise, and Steven Jones; and a great niece and nephew. She was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Leonard Ruane and Greta Ruane Norton, maternal grandparents, Karl and Theresa Schraml; uncles, Bernard and Paul Schraml, and aunts, June Ruane Hartness and Barbara Roth Schraml. The family would like to thank the staff at the Walsh ICF and the DDSO at 8267 Turin Road for their compassion and nurturing care for the past several years. The family also thanks the staff of 2 East and 2 North at Rome Hospital and Dr. Anthony Cotronea for their compassionate care during Cindy's illness. A special thank you to Cindy's Aunt Theresa Mazzacua for her compassionate and loving care while she was a home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 AM at Barry Funeral Home 807 W. Chestnut Street and 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Church. Burial will in the spring at St. Mary's Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM. Memorial Contributions cam be made to the American Lung Association, Hospice and Palliative Care or St. Paul's Church Memorial Fund.
