Obituary of Patricia A. Boston

Patricia A. Boston, age 78, of Rome, passed away peacefully on April 9th 2019 at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in Bellows Falls, VT on January 30, 1941 to the late Edward and Laura Shaw Kent, and graduated from Bellows Falls High School. On April 5, 1975, she was united in marriage to Richard H. Boston; a blessed union of 41 years until his passing on May 11, 2016. Patricia worked in the medical records transcription department at Rome Memorial Hospital for many years. Patricia was a selfless, beautiful soul who touched the lives of so many. She would always listen and try to help others however she could. Her greatest joy was her family, and she would light up around her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved the ocean and lighthouses, especially York Beach, Maine and Nubble Light where she spent many happy vacations both as a child and later in life with her own children and their families. She is survived by her daughter and daughter in law Amanda and Tammy DellAnno-Boston of Utica; grandchildren, T, Amanda, and Eric (Tegan); great grandchildren, Caidence, Ethan, Dominick, Hailey, and Emma; many beloved nieces and nephews, lifelong friends, Billie Dobstaff and Nancy Hennagir, special friends, Joann and Dick Tayburn, Kimberly Matzinger, Keith Pettengill, and her friends at Mohawk Gardens. She was predeceased by her son, Kevin Boston; her sister, Phyllis Bell; and her brother, Edward Kent. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 3 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1 to 3 PM prior to the service.
