Phyllis A. Baker, age 60, of Rome, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2019.
She was born July 18, 1958, in Rome, a daughter of the late Theodore and Joyce Burkhart Butler. She graduated from Camden Central School and Mohawk Valley Community College. Phyllis was united in marriage to Jeffory Baker on February 17, 1979. She formerly worked as a hostess and at various managerial positions at McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, Dippin Donuts and Turning Stone Casino.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Jeff; three daughters and sons in law, Autumn and Shawn Collins of Rome, Amber and Dartanion Allen of Athens, AL; and Courtney and Charles Bandy of Fort Drum; a son, Jeremy Baker of Rome; two sisters and brother in law, Laurie and Russell Smith of Camden, and Karen and Joseph Koscinski of Sauquoit; a brother and sister in law, Theodore Jr, and Rebecca Butler of Taberg; and 11 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Brittany Baker.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 to 3 PM, prior to the funeral service.
