Obituary of Catherine Brown Focht

Catherine Brown Focht, age 85, formerly of Schank Avenue, passed away February 19, 2010, at Bethany Gardens. She was born November 2, 1924, in New York City, a daughter of Charles W. and Delia Nuland Brown. Catherine was united in marriage to William A. Focht, on December 1, 1945, in New York City; he died years ago. She was formerly employed at Revere Copper Products. She was a former member of the Rome VFW, Ladies Auxiliary. Catherine is survived by a sister, Mary Soiffer of California; her Godchild, Mary Ann Doti of Utica; special friends, Cheryl Pazdur and the Dorn Family; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Meyer. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 7:30 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
