Barbara, Mark and family Dear Barb and Family, You have our heartfelt sympathy on the death of your mother. It is an extremely saddening event to lose a parent no matter how long they have lived or how old we ourselves have become. Our mother is often the one person who knows the most about us and to lose them at any stage of life can leave a flood of good memories as well as a painful void within the family. My own mother, Helen, also was born in 1916 so this is a significant date to me. Although she did not reach the age of 93, the coincidence of names and dates are very meaningful to me and my family. Cherish and share the fond memories that you have and hug often the ones that you love. Tears are ok. With deepest sympathy for your loss, Mike and Bonnie Richmond

In reflective moments, I have contemplated on occasion the origin and genetic derivation of the "Klara and their in-laws" mystique. How could 2nd generation progeny become Medical Doctors, Government Executives, Engineers, Business Owners, Teachers, Therapists, and even Geologists. The answer while difficult to precisely ascertain can be found in the principles of hard work, the setting of very high standards, and the South Rome derived concept of "never let them see you sweat". I know that Aunt Helen embodied these ideals, and vicariously we all learned them. Magic? Maybe!, but not really... I did not know, until I read her history, that she was the 1st President of the Transfiguration Mothers Club. Read... hard work, high standards, and grace under pressure. Good-bye Aunt Helen, but don't worry, all of your "children" have and will continue to carry on the "mystique". Your Godson, Gene.
