One time at a sorority convention Fran had just gotten a cell phone. The phone rang and looked at it and said "How did he know where I was?" It was Mac calling her on her cell phone.. We laughed so hard.

Fran and I started out as sorority sisters, but quickly became much more. I remember the day my daughter Sara was born...it was on Fran's birthday. Fran was happy to share her day with Sara..and they were "birthday buddies" from that day forward. Fran was always there...sometimes as a mother figure, sometimes as a sister...but always as a true friend...through laughter and tears. She was a determined and sometimes stubborn woman...when diagnosed with cancer, they told her 6 months, but she fooled them...it was 4 years and she never stopped living. I was truly lucky to be able to spend those last days with her, she may not have been able to speak...but you knew she loved you. I will never ever forget all that she was and all that she gave...she was truly an amazing woman. She will live on in her children and grandchildren..she raised them to be as kind and caring as she was. As hard as it is to let her go...at least she is no longer in pain and she is at peace. I will love her and missed until we meet again. Rest in Peace my friend. May the Lord watch between me and thee...while we absent one from the other.

It was 30+ years ago that a former supervisor pointed at me and said"I just hired a gal and you're going to love her". we know who that gal was.we immediately became friends.we played off each others "uniqueness",the wilder the outfit the better!we loved rock and roll but I have to admit she turned me on to Willie,Merle and the likes being a Texan Rose herself. Our dream was to get backstage at a Stones concert(that didn't happen)so the next best thing was to get Mick's attention. We decided to "tattoo" my face like the album cover. After 3 hrs of drawing w/eyebrow pencil, the work of art was complete. The fans LOVED it and after much pushing through the crowd we got close enough for him to see us,yes he saw US!you see we grew up together.time passes and families, work and circles of friends may change but our love never did.you see love isn't free,it costs a lot when things like this happen.Frannie took a part of my heart with her,oh but it was SOO worth it.Rest now my beautiful friend, you fought the good fight and we'll see each other soon.I'll love you forever, Donna

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Franny's family. We were sorority sisters for many years and I was glad I was able to be in Rome this summer and spend some time with her. She was a great fun loving gal and will be greatly missed. Fran may the Lord watch between me and thee while we are absent one from the other. Rest in peace my friend till we meet again.

Franny was a true light in this world, she will always be remembered with such fondness, I always told her she looked like Barbara Eden, she would laugh every time. She was beautiful and kind and very loved. Her brave and courageous spirit is one I'll never forget.
