Paulette E. White, 66, of Ava, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family at her side, on October 27, 2010.
She was born October 19, 1944, in Rome, a daughter of Paul and Margaret Parry Gentile, and graduated from Rome Free Academy. Paulette was a Deputy Sheriff for the Oneida County Sheriff Department, retiring after 29 years of service. She was member of St. Joseph's Church, Lee Center.
Paulette loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating and fishing. She loved crafting and visiting the many craft shows in the area.
Paulette is survived by three daughters and a son in law, Shari Noble and companion, Garry Carver Hubbardsville, Kelly Nellis and companion, Mike Chambers of Boonville, and Danielle and Shawn Fay of Boonville; two sons and a daughter in law, Patrick and Lisa Schoff of Boonville, and Christopher Saunders of Utica; two sisters, Julia "Joan" Bellefeuille and companion, Tony Trophia of Rome, and Michele Besig and companion, Mike Davis of Rome; two brothers, Perry Gentile of Rome, and Paul Gentile of Rome;14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; special friends Joyce and Wayne Cadrette; friend and co-worker, Todd DePasquale; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Candy, Sassy and Precious.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM from the Barry Funeral Home, and at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, Lee Center. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Monday 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the West Leyden Ambulance Fund.
