It is hard to pick which stories to share about Gabe. Gabe lived with us for awhile when my husband and Megan's dad was going through treatment for pancreatic cancer. We probably would not have been able to keep him at home as long as we did without Gabe's help. There were many times he had to assist us in getting him to the car to either take him to the ER or the Dr's office. When he was going to Ava Dorfman during the day-Gabe would walk him out to the bus. For these times I am forever grateful. We also have a couple of small dogs, one is kind of difficult for strangers to make friends with and was particularly protective of my husband during his illness but not Gabe-Chico warmed up to him right away and there are not many people that Chico likes. Our other dog Tinker, Gabe used to groom and he did a better job on her than the groomers-you could see his love for animals. One day I came home and opened my cupboards looking for something and noticed my dishes were not were they usually were-I started looking around and noticed everything in the kitchen was rearranged. I asked Gabe that nite and he said he moved them, especially the ones I did not use very often to make more room for the daily ones and he was right, he did make things much more accessible. As a matter of fact I still haven't found everything he moved-but it makes me laugh when I look for something. He was a very interesting and surprisingly deep person to talk to-I only wish I could have known he needed help as we all must feel. Gabe will be missed.

I was a daily visitor to the Xtra Mart where Gabe worked and what a pleasant experience it was to have him wait on me. His personality, wit and wisdom all combined to make for a unique and delightful individual. I feel priviledged to have known him. He will be missed.
