Obituary of Jerome Edward Henderson

Jerome "Jerry" Edward Henderson, 58, of Rome, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2013 at home. Jerry was born on February 18, 1954 in Rome to the late Henry and Polly Booth Henderson. He attended the Rome Schools and graduated from Rome Free Academy. He retired as a senior custodian from the Rome City School District, after 28 years of service. Jerry was an avid bowler and loved to fish. He also deeply loved his cat, Buddy. Surviving are two brothers and a sister in law, Tom and Maureen Henderson of Rome, and Howard Henderson of Verona; a sister and two brothers in laws, Jeanne and Larry Bourque of Greene, NY and Michael Almond of Rome; and a special friend, Marie Partore. He was predeceased by a brother, Henry "Hank" Henderson III, a sister, Mary Almond, and a sister in law, Anne Henderson. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 7 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Relatives and friends may call the funeral home from 4 to 7 PM, prior to the funeral service.
