Dorothy L. Catello DePasquale, age 89, of Rome, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, with her loving family by her side.

 

She was born October 12, 1930, in Rome, a daughter of the late Paul and Mabel Sebastian Catello, and educated in Rome schools.  Dorothy was united in marriage to Eugene DePasquale on November 2, 1962, in Westmoreland.

 

Dorothy was previous owner and operator of Happy Valley Farms for many years. She loved planting and selling her home-grown farm products. She also was an avid bird watcher and especially loved cardinals.  Her greatest joy was taking care of her 11 children and many grandchildren.

 

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Gene; children, Sharon Hendrix, Jim and Linda Heath, Deborah and Walter Davis, Brian and Cindy Heath, Kevin and Karen Heath, Joe and Cindy Heath, Teresa and Billiam Barnes, Angela and David Barnard, Laurie Wright and Anthony and Hertha DePasquale; sisters, Crystal Dombrowski and Felicia Montross, a sister in law and brother in law, Bev and Bob Britt; many grandchildren, great and great, great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Heath; a son, Angelo DePasquale; sisters, Margaret Mull and Palmera Riolo; brothers, Paul, Ernie and Donald; and a grandson, Robert Hendrix. 

 

She will be missed by many!

 

 In consideration of the Covid 19 pandemic, the funeral service will be private.  There are no calling hours.

 

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Barry Funeral Home, 807 West Chestnut Street.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
