Obituary of Patricia A. Ahlstrom
Patricia A. (Swerdan) Ahlstrom, age 70, of Lee Center, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2020, at home with her loving family at her side. She was born November 22, 1949, in Rome, a daughter of Charles and Mary Alice (Toepp) Swerdan. She graduated from Rome Catholic High and earned her Master‘s Degree from SUNY Oswego. She served as a guidance counselor at Camden Central School, retiring in 2015 after many years of service.
Pat had an infectious smile and surrounded those she knew with vibrant love, laughter, and joy. She was free-spirited and empathetic with a passion to serve. She lived an inquisitive life and was committed to always being her authentic self. Pat enjoyed traveling the world and spending time with her family and friends. She loved painting, reading, wildflowers, and listening to music. She touched the lives of so many and her courage and strength will not be forgotten.
Patricia is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Ahlstrom (Justin Taylor) of NC, and Christina Ahlstrom of AK, her grandson Theo Taylor, her mother Mary Alice Swerdan of Lee Center, two sisters Kathy Sledziona (Jerry) and Mary Anne Swerdan (Steve Cadrette) of Lee Center, a brother, Thomas Swerdan (Regina Parsons) of Liverpool, an aunt, Anne (Toepp) Grande of Rome, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Charles Swerdan.
