LuAnn was such a great coworker, a wonderful nurse, and an amazing person. I will always remember the Monday morning coffee sessions we shared before nursing class. Her vibrant personality was contagious and will be greatly missed. I am thankful for the opportunity to have known such a wonderful person.

LuAnn, you were a bright light wherever you went. Everyone who met you could feel your energy, your warmth and your generous spirit. You were a blessing to your family, your friends and all of your patients. I hope you know how much you were loved.
Austin and Mason, your mom loved you more than anything in the world. She was so proud of you and always boasting about the amazing young men you were becoming.
Al, I am so glad you found each other. You made LuAnn so very happy. Thank you for supporting her in her dream to become an RN.
Such deep sadness is felt by so many of us at this unexpected tragedy. LuAnn blessed so many in her time here. She always wanted to help others through their struggles while downplaying her own. I hope we can honor her memory by trying to live like she did- seeing every day as a gift and an opportunity to make the world a little better for someone else.
LuAnn, thank you for being a true friend to so many. We will miss you.

I have been searching for days for the right words to say but there are no words that can truly express how shocked I am by Luann’s passing. A radiant light has been taken from this world.
Luann was such a beautiful and amazing person inside and out. She was kind, and compassionate. She always had a smile on her face, no matter what internal battles she was fighting. She was a great friend, hard working Mother, and a gifted Nurse. She was always willing to help anybody or anything she could. She was an advocate for her patients and coworkers, always taking care of and worrying about other people more than herself. She worked hard to raise and care for her sons while finishing her Nursing degree and had finally found an amazing man to share her life with.
Luann and I came from a similar background and made me feel like she was kindred spirit. We both grew up on family farms in small towns. She knew what it meant to work hard for what you wanted and learned young what a good work ethic was. What it meant to care for animals as well as humans. I think her love for stray animals is based in this upbringing. When you live on a farm frequently the dogs and cats are ones that are dropped off there by people who don’t want them anymore, and we take them in and make them our own.
I have so many happy, funny, and cherished memories of my short time with Luann, as I know many other people do as well. She was an amazing woman, who has gone before her time it seems. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was 1 of a kind, a beautiful soul. I am sure she is looking down right now on all of us, still doing all she can to make us feel better and beam her love down upon us.
May you all take comfort from the strength of the love of family and friends at this difficult time, and know that though she is physically gone, she will live on in all our hearts and memories we have of her. Until we see her again, may the small piece of her we have in each our hearts keep her close for all of you.

LuAnn's positive attitude and radiant smile touched the lives of all that knew her in the SUNY Morrisville nursing program. It was was such a pleasure to see her in class, in the hall, or in the clinical setting. Her smile would instantly improve the mood of everyone in the room. Her clearly genuine caring manner was appreciated by her faculty, peers, and patients. This is such a loss to all who knew her. Prayers and positive thoughts are sent to all from the SUNY Morrisville Nursing Department.

In the short time that I knew LuAnn as nursing student at Morrisville, will never be forgotten. She helped me as much as I tried to help her. Her smile was contagious and her compassion overwhelming. JoAnn has been a dear friend of mine for almost 30 years and I remember her referring to LuAnn as LuLu :). From the family that I have met, you are all a wonderful example of humility, love, and family. I wish you peace in your hearts and God's presence in your lives. You will remain in my prayers always.
