Obituary of Vincent P. Gentile
Vincent P. Gentile, age 71, of Lee Center, passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side on October 9, 2021, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center.
Vincent was born in Rome, NY on August 20, 1950, to the late Vincent J. and Marion Peterpaul Gentile. Vincent was a graduate of Rome Catholic High School and held various jobs, including working at his family's restaurant "Daddy's" and as a computer technician for Bunker Ramo. He loved everything about computers, satellite systems, ham radios, and building and reimagining things to try to make them better.
Vinnie loved music from an early age, including playing in a band after high school (which he was very proud of) to later finding mixing sound was his passion. Whether he was volunteering to mix and build sound systems for churches, bands or weddings as a DJ, he was always bringing that passion of music to others. He also enjoyed volunteering for many different organizations including the former Crisis Pregnancy Center, the Lee Center Trailbusters Snowmobile Club and Tappet Twirlers. During his time in the snowmobile club, he enjoyed building strong bridges and grooming to keep the trails safe. He most recently joined the Elks Club of Boonville. Vinnie loved his toys, from boats to lawn tractors to cars. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, always keeping the "child" inside alive.
Vincent was formerly married to Karen Roller Rosato; and is survived by his daughters, Kristie (Tim) Boisen of Lee Center, and Amy (Robert) Small of Burleson, TX; three grandchildren, Brittany, Timothy Jr., and Wyatt; his sister, Julie (David) Pangbourne; nieces and a nephew and many cousins.
