Obituary of Wayne T. Neiss

Wayne T. Neiss, age 54, of New Port Beach, CA, passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2021. 

Wayne was born in Rome on August 27, 1967 to Wayne B. Neiss and Patricia Hatfield Neiss and educated in the Rome Schools. He worked as a mechanic for many years and loved what he did. He also enjoyed fishing and was a Dallas Cowboys and Yankees fan.

 Wayne is survived by his mother and step-father, Patricia and Mark Gifford of Rome; his children, Karlie Angeline Neiss of Rome, Angelina Fay Neiss of CA, W. Michael Beam of Taberg, and River Abell of CA; his grandchildren, Corban, Novaline, and Alex; several aunts, uncles and cousins, including a special aunt and uncle, Elaine and Rodney Billman; and a special friend, Brenda Beam. He was predeceased by his father, Wayne B. Neiss; and his step-father, David L. D’Aiuto; both his maternal and paternal grandparents; an aunt, Elinor Hatfield; and a cousin, Savanah Kellogg.

 The family would like to Anne-Marie Neiss and her partner, Mike Pfeiffer, for their love and support shown to Wayne.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 1 PM at the Church of St. John the Baptist with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

 There are no calling hours.

 Arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
