Obituary of Michael James Kolak, Jr.
Michael James Kolak, Jr., age 29, passed away suddenly at his home in Rome, NY, on November 11, 2021.
Michael was born and raised in Colonie, the son of Tricia Vincent Sivers of Davenport, FL, and Michael J. Kolak, Sr., of Guilderland. He attended Colonie High School and was best known for his sense of humor, his ability to keep an open mind, and to appreciate life beyond the simple pleasures.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved grandmother, Mary Jean Kolak of Guilderland; his siblings, Andrew Hayes of Schenectady, Shylo Sibblies of Colonie, and Thomas Sivers of Davenport, FL; his aunts and uncles, Karen (Dennis) Lane of Loudonville, Chris (Mike) Peters of Guilderland, Michael (Tracy) Vincent of Colonie, Todd (Jolean) Vincent, Ronald (Jennifer) Vincent, Gerald (Danielle) Vincent and the late Cheryl Allen (Terry) and many cousins. Michael enjoyed a special bond with his cousins, Ryan Handron of Albany, and Jason Handron of Menands, to both of whom he was like a brother. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Linda Vincent Lombardi, and his grandfather, Charles Kolak.
A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 28, at 3:30 PM at the City Harvest Family Church, 585 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12206.
