Although I didn't have the chance to see Mary recently, I certainly have a special place in my heart for her. We worked together about 16 years ago at the Arc. It was amazing to see her compassion towards the special people we served & her coworkers. Along with her compassion came a good dose of reality, honesty, & tough love. Mary was one of the most influencial people in my early married life and early motherhood. She was a wonderful example of a loving wife & mother and I learned a lot from her about taking life on life's terms. I have so many good memories of time spent together - lunch breaks at work, coffee/dinner at her home, the wonderful baby shower that she hosted for me, visiting me in the hospital at the birth of my daughter, Lily. She was truly more than just a coworker. I am so saddened by her death. I offer my condolences to her beautiful family and will be praying for you all, my heart goes out to you.

My condolences to the family and friends. Mary you are an angel of God, that is why he has called you back to his side and from there you will continue to take care of all of us. I will miss you, my dear friend. You were a very fighter woman who dedicated herself to helping everyone who needed a helping hand. You were an excellent boss, who always defended your employees and looked for the best for each one, you always listened to our needs, and as you said well "work stays, family doesn't, that's why family always comes first" You were always willing to understand and help everybody. Thank you Mary for being part of our lives, for being when we need it and helping without expecting anything in return. Thank you for being so nice to me and my family. We will miss you so much. I thank God for having met you, now you are enjoying eternal rest. My friend, thank you for your example of life. We will meet again, Love Carmen Nieves-Nazario

To Mary’s Family,
I’m deeply sorry about the sudden and untimely passing of your beautiful wife, mother, and daughter. I can’t imagine the pain you are feeling even though I’m heartbroken myself. Mary loved all of you with everything she had. She was always so happy and smiled ear to ear when she mentioned Tony, Erica, Kyle, Michael and Karl. There wasn’t a time when I worked for her or when we spent time together post employment at the Arc where she didn’t mention one of you. You all meant the world to her and she was proud of you and never missed the opportunity to let everyone know. Mary was so very important to so many. I was shocked and saddened to hear this news as it was unexpected. She made a difference in my life and I loved her so very much. Mary made me feel like part of the family and was always generous. I will miss spending time with her, talking about anything, her advice and of course her food and hugs. I loved coming over with Mila and watching her play with Gina and Zeek. Thanks to Mary, I have my Mila and for that I am forever grateful. I’m proud to have known her and will miss her terribly. My condolences to all of you, may she watch over you until you can be reunited with her again.

Mary will always be one of my closest friends, biggest supporter and my one and only-Mama Mary. She was strong in her faith, always right but never judgmental, warm heart, best hugger, best cook, loved me my child and family members as her own. Fought for me and risked it all to do the right thing, because that’s who she was. A fighter. A warrior. A force to be reckoned with. I love and miss her so much and keep thinking... what will I do without her, who is gonna solve my problems. If I feel this way then I can only imagine how her own children and beloved husband feel. My condolences to you all

Mary was my best friend and she was amazing. She always wanted to help people and was always positive. She helped me through a very dark place in my life and I will never forget her. We worked together for 18 years and she helped me so much. She made me apart of your family and I am so thankful to know all of you. I will so miss our dinners just to catch up. She always made me laugh. She was so proud of her family and had the biggest smile as she told me how proud she was of everyone. Mary will be greatly missed.
