Obituary of Michael W. Vrooman
With a heavy heart, Wayne and Mary Vrooman announce the passing of their son, Michael Vrooman.
Michael was born in Rome on August 19, 1970. He lived life to the fullest with all his hopes and dreams, and passed the same way he lived: quiet, reserved, and dignified. He was a handsome man with a shy smile. He enjoyed car races, riding his motorcycle, martial arts, and taking his best buddy, Sally, for walks. He wants his memories to be happy ones.
This exceptional person leaves behind his parents, Wayne and Mary; his sisters, Deborah Vrooman of New York Mills, and Karen Morgan of Rome; a nephew, Scott Vrooman; nieces, Alyssa and Hali Wood; his uncles Tom (Lynn) Marcisofsky of Fairport, NY with whom he and Michael attended several car shows together, John Marcisofsky of Albuquerque, NM; Joe (June) Marcisofsky of Fort Collins, CO; and Anthony (Wendy) Marcisofsky of Henderson, NV, who opened their hears and home to Michael to attend car races; an aunt, Monica Schoff of Rome; great aunts and uncles, Elizabeth (Ron) Murphy of Springfiled, VA, Steve (Joan) Vrooman of Westernville, and Doreen (Monty) Honaker of VA; and a special friend, Elaine Anderegg. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Joseph and Leona Marcisofsky, and Maynard and Thelma Vrooman; uncles, Paul Marcisofsky, and Terry Schoff; and aunts, Cecelia Marcisofsky, Janice Plumley, Linda Vinneau, and Kathy Seymour.
The family would like to extend gratitude to Oneida Hopspital/ ICU and Upstate for their hard work and professionalism during these extraordinary times, and also would like to offer thanks for the kindness as we navigate the labyrinth of grief.
A Memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
