Obituary of George M. Hall
George M. Hall, age 87, of the Town of Westmoreland, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2022, at Rome Health.
George was born in Rome on February 22, 1935 to the late Morris and Lucy Berndt Hall, and was educated in the Rome Schools. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. On September 3, 1960, he was united in marriage to the former Catherine Federow. George worked as a mechanic and later as a foreman at Marshall and Houseman in Sherrill.
George was a family man and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and was proud of his three girls. He like to tinker and rebuild old cars and had a special passion for horses.
George is survived by his loving wife, Catherine; his daughter, Shelly Quinn; his granddaughter, Tara Quinn; his sisters, Mary Lou (Jim) Chubbuck, and Beatrice (Doug) Rosenthal; her beother, Roy (Mary Lou) Hall; several nieces and nephews; a special brother-in-law, Tom Federow; and s special sister-in-law, Carol Federow. He was predeceased by his sisters, Elsie Federow, Carol Clements, and Noreen Mowes; and his brothers, Morris Jr., Charles, and Fred “Ted” Hall.
