Obituary of Michael D. Jensen, II

Michael D. Jensen II, age 52, of Rome, passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2023, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Mike was born in Cortland, NY on December 29, 1970 to the late Michael and Cynthia Davis Jensen, and graduated from Dryden Central School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. On October 28, 2017, he was united in marriage to the former Teresa Melnick, whom he met while playing bingo which was one of his favorite hobbies. He was a masonry worker and was employed by Charles Driscoll Masonry in Skaneateles Falls, NY. He also worked for the family business, Miller’s Coalbin in Dryden, NY.

Michael enjoyed fishing and golfing, but his favorite thing was spending time with his grandchildren.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Teresa; his step-daughter, Sandi (Michael Evanciew) Havens; his grandchildren, Ayden, and Adilynn; his brother, Paul (Donna) Jensen; his step-father, Thomas Miller; his step-brother, Ben (Audra) Miller; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, James Jensen.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 15th from 4-7 PM, at the Lee Center Bingo Hall, at 5510 School Street, Lee Center, NY 13363.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
