Rudy was a man that broke a mold. I began to know Rudy about 20 years after a fast friendship with Beth. Even from miles away, never having met his daughter's friend, Rudy took interest and became my email pen-pal in his 70's. His sense of adventure was fierce and he was always interested in hearing about our Michigan adventures and looking for pictures. My favorites received back were his inventions for clipping dog nails, a recipe he enjoyed that I should try, or the time in my life when he knew I was having a hard time and he sent me heartfelt advice and love from 87 years of insight. A special, gem of a man. If you had the opportunity to know him, you were a better person!
