Obituary of Kathy D. Parker
Kathy D. Parker, age 64, of Rome, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023, at the Grand at Rome.
Kathy was born in Rome on June 27, 1959, to the late Amos and Roberta Coffelt Martin, and graduated from Rome Free Academy. She was formerly married to Dale Parker and the two were wed on May 13, 1977. Kathy worked for Dr. Sullivan in Rome as the file clerk and claim processor. She also was a home health aide.
Kathy enjoyed handy crafts, crocheting, and writing poetry. She even had two poems published in the February 1986 issue of the American Poetry Association. She was a member of the Holly Chapter of the Eastern Star.
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Melissa MacDaniels of New York Mills; son, Jeremy Parker of NYC; sister Judy (Larry) Carro; brother, Douglas Martin; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Debbie Greshtchuk.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 at 11 AM at Townsend Cemetery in Stittville.
