Obituary of Dennis M. Kelly
Dennis M. Kelly, age 64, of Rome, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2024, at Oneida Healthcare Center.
Dennis was born in Glendale Queens, New York on October 6, 1959 to the late Kenneth and Theresa Widhalm Kelly. On July 8, 2000, he was united in marriage to the former Joan Lemenze, in Herkimer, NY. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1992. Dennis worked as a Postman for several years.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and woodworking, fishing, and gardening. He was a member of the Free Masons.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Joan; daughter, Shannon (Rob) Casta; son, Richard Bradle; grandchildren, Carter and Brieleigh; mother, Theresa; sisters, Theresa Goldberg, and Colleen MacGregor; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his nieces, June Morelli and Jillian Mathis; and nephew, Daniel Morelli.
Burial with military honors will be held on Friday, May 24, at 12 Noon at the Gerald B Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 25 at 2 PM, at the Rome Alliance Church, 920 Turin Street.
