Anne C. Beach, age 98, of Rome, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2024 at Rome Health.

Anne was born in Rome on July 25, 1926 to the late Frank and Rosa Forte Angelicchio and educated in the Rome Schools. On April 17, 1948, she was united in marriage to Douglas Beach Sr.; a blessed union of over 48 years until his unexpected passing on October 17, 1996. She was employed at Griffiss AFB, retiring after 30 years of service.

Anne was a member of the Church of St. John the Baptist. She was a kind-hearted person and her pride and joy was her family. She enjoyed being a mom and grandmother.

Anne is survived by her daughters, Diane (Jon Pepper) Hughes of Wilmington, NC, and Debra (Shawn Walters) Beach of Barneveld; daughters in law, Mary Jo (Lloyd Ploof) Beach, and Kathee Beach; grandchildren, Doughlas Beach III, David Beach Jr., Darrick Beach, Jennifer (Chris) Brillante, Morgan Beach, and Benjamin (Kristen) Hughes; great grandchildren, Lucas and Giovanni Brillante; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved sons, Douglas Jr., and David Sr.; and her siblings, Anthony (Ann) Angelo, Angelo “Percy” (Marie), Michael (Kathy), and Joseph (Pat) Angelicchio, Fannie (Alfred) Tarlecki, Mary (Willard) Vanderpool, and Jennie (William) Tanner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 AM, at the Church of St. John the Baptist celebrated by her nephew, Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Town of Lee.

Per Anne’s request, there will be no calling hours. Her family will receive relatives and friends at the conclusion of the mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John’s Church Memorial Fund.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
