Obituary of Brett A. Dobransky
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brett A. Dobransky, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who left us on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024, at the age of 37.
Brett was born on May 15th, 1987, in Rome to Vikki McCready and Alan Dobransky. He was a proud graduate of Holland Patent High School, class of 2006, where he made lifelong friendships, and continued his education at Mohawk Valley Community College. Brett served his country with honor as a member of the United States Air Force. His service was marked by the same dedication and integrity that he brought to every aspect of his life, earning him the respect and admiration of his peers. Upon his discharge, he began working at the Family Dollar Distribution Center where he eventually became a maintenance supervisor.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Brett was a person of many passions. He cherished spending time with his family and friends and always enjoyed gathering with them. He also had a great appreciation for music. He was also a member of the Rome VFW.
Brett is survived by his mother, Vikki; father and step-mother, Alan and Rina; sister, Isbella Dobransky; brothers, Josh Dobransky, Tyler (Brittany) Zandi, and Kyle Dutch; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.
Family and friends may call at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, on Tuesday, December 10, from 4 to 6 PM. A service where memories can be shared will immediately follow at 6 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Brett's name may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
