Grandma never said a bad about anyone EVER. I would love to have such an open heart. My best memories are going to her house to make meatballs, sausage and sauce (something I do still now) and going to Aunt Nina's Sunday afternoon and playing Canasta with all Grandma's sisters. Grandma's services last week were beautiful and I was warmed by seeing everyone.I feel very blessed to have Grandma in my life all this time.

One of my fondest memories of Gracie was seeing her every Sunday on the porch waiting for Polly. I would always stop on my way to church and chat for a minute or two. I hadn't thought of that in years, until I read it in the beautiful obituary. I'm glad I grew up on Bouck Street and had the pleasure of knowing Gracie, Minica, Caroline, Mrs. Scambologne, Mrs. Aiello and Mrs. Vecsio (Nellie). They always made time for me!!!!

I WIL ALWAYS REMEMBER MY AUNT GRACIE AS A WOMAN OF ABUNDANT ENERGY. HER HOME WAS A PLACE WHERE YOU COULD ALWAYS GET GREAT FOOD AND A HUG. THE HOUSE COULD BE ON FIRE AND YOU FELT THAT SHE WOULD STILL BE THERE TO SMILE AND HELP YOU. SHE PASSED THIS TRAIT ON TO HER DAUGHTER WHO IS AS CARING AND LOVING AS HER MOM. I WILL REMEMBER FONDLY THE WONDERFUL SMELLS THAT GREETED YOU AS YOU ENTERED THE HOUSE. I REMEMBER HER LOVE, OF ALL THING, WRESTLING. SHE AND HER BROTHER, AND MY UNCLE MIKIE WERE GREAT FANS.... MOSTLY I REMEMBER HOW MUCH MY DAD LOVED HER, HER ENERGY AND HER THOUGHTFULNESS. ONE OF MY MOST VIVID MEMORIES IS HOW HE DROVE HER TO THE SYRACUSE HOSPITAL AND DEMANDED THEY TAKE HER IN FOR HER HEART OPERATION, AND I REMEMBER THE CHRISTMAS EVE TRADITIONAL DINNER SHE INVITED MY FATHER AND ME TO.....HE WAS SO PLEASED AND THRILLED. MOSTLY I WILL THINK OF THEM BOTH CARING FOR EACH OTHER NOW IN HEAVEN AS THEY DID HERE ON EARTH. MY LOVE A PRAYERS GO OUT TO HER DAUGHTER AND SONS AND GRANDCHILDREN. ALL MY LOVE MARY JANE
