I still feel very sad and my heart still aches for Sandi's family. " Nothing can make up for the absence of someone whom we love and it would be wrong to find a subsitute. We must simply hold out and see it through. That sounds very hard at first, but at the same time, it is a great consolation. For the gap, as long as it remains unfulfilled, preserves the bonds between us. It is non-sense to say God fills the gap. He does not fill it; on the contrary, He keeps it empty and so helps us to keep alive our former communion with each other, even at the cost of pain" ~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer~ I will always remember when Sandi and I worked at the Sentinel and how she would come to work every morning dressed to perfection from head to toe with that beautiful smile on her face.

I knew Sandy briefly when we both attended St. Aloysius Academy in Rome, New York. She transferred to RFA after two years at SAA. A very pleasant person, nice personality....another one of my classmates has "passed on." Sandy did accomplish things in her brief life, and that must always be remembered. Where ever you are, Sandy, I wish you peace and tranquility.

I am deeply saddened by Sandy's passing. I had the privilege of serving with her on the Rome City Board of Education during the 1980s. Rome's children and its citizenry never had a better or more committed advocate. Our community has suffered a great loss, but the loss will be especially painful to those who knew her.

I am very saddened by the passing of a dear friend and educational leader. I have known Sandi for many years and have always known her to be an advocate for kids. To rise to the level of involvement as the leader of the New York State School Boards Association demonstrated her many years invested for the children in her own community and her vision for all children wherever they lived. Condolences to the family. God Bless!

Just wanted to say that Sandi was a very giving person; always thinking of her family and friends. She would do anything for her children and grandchildren; nieces and nephews. I know that for my children; Caleb, Abbey, Mary and Nathan Resnach; her nieces and nephews; they miss her so much already and they will cherish her in their hearts always. I had the priviledge of having her in my life for 20 years, and witnessed a total love for her family. She was a wonderful sister to Bill and Sue. Wonderful daughter. Wonderful mother. She will be very very much missed. May God give her family the strength to go on and May they always sense her love and presence in their hearts wherever they may go. May she Rest in Peace, Sincerely, Debbie
