Bernice A. Hutchins, age 94, of Floyd, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2016 at the Presbyterian Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Bernice was born on March 8, 1922 in Port Leyden, NY to the late Harry and Gladys Farr. She graduated from South Lewis Central School. She was united in marriage to the late Clair Hutchins. Bernice worked for several department stores around the area.

Bernice is survived by her son, Clinton Hutchins of Floyd; two grandchildren, Richard (Virginia) Hutchins and Carrie (Mike) Craver; and five great grandchildren, Nathan Craver, Julia, Jenna, Jaycee, and Kyle Hutchins; many beloved nieces and nephews; and many special friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Millie True; and three brothers, Howard, Francis, and Carl Farr.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 7 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 PM prior to the service.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Presbyterian Home for their generosity and care during Bernice's stay.
