Livia L. Gatto Goss, age 83, of Rome, passed away peacefully at home on October 30, 2018.
Livia was born in Cerignola, Italy on August 1, 1935 to the late Gaetano and Maria Galari DeTullio. She worked at JC Penny Optical and Bridesworld for many years until her retirement.
Livia loved to knit, sew, crochet, and cook.
Livia is survived by a son, Joseph P. Gatto of Rome; a daughter, Shirley (Kenneth Bickerstaff) Fraer of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, David and Brittany Fraer; two sisters, Tullia and Marina Detullio; a sister in law, Rosa DeTuillio of Rome, Italy; and daughter in law, Tracey Ferlo and Joe Royce, with whom she loved to ride around in his Camaros.
A very special thank you to her confidant whom she also thought of as her own son, Robert Bodolosky, who she referred to as "My Robert" for his care, compassion and friendship until the end.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 AM at the Church of St. John the Baptist. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron, OH.
There are no calling hours.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
